Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Alsharqi, The School of Calligraphy and Ornamentation was established in 2023. SOCO is a specialised art school focusing on the traditional Arts of the Book in Fujairah, UAE.

The school is dedicated to the traditional arts of the book that include calligraphy, ornamentation, gilding, miniature painting and book making crafts. We offer short and long term courses in-person in Fujairah, UAE and online.
Creative Space
At SOCO, it is important to us to welcome all of our creative community and this is why we are providing a free creative space for anyone who wants an area to practice their work and their art. There will be a possibility as well to get additional support from instructors if they are available.
