Calligraphy Workshops in Fujairah & Dibba
Arabic calligraphy is one of the most important art forms in the Islamic lands as it started to record the Quran, the word of God. In the School of Calligraphy and Ornamentation in Fujairah, we have a dedicated calligraphy department with three experienced and talented calligraphers; two in the Fujairah branch and one in the Dibba branch.

Our Resident Calligraphers
Mohammad Abu Almajd
- Bachelor’s degree in Sharia and Law, Al-Azhar University, 2012 with speciality in calligraphy in 2009 and Gilding in, 2011.
- Postgraduate Diploma in Educational Curriculum, College of Education, 2014
- Student of Master calligrapher Shirin Abdel Halim, the calligrapher of the Grand Mosque in Mecca
- A written license in Egyptian bond from the head of the Egyptian Calligraphers Syndicate, Khudair Al-Borsaidi
- First place in the Diwan Competition in Berlin, Germany, 2019
Mohsen Nassar
- Ranked fifth in the Arabic Calligraphy Diploma in Egypt
- Expert in ten calligraphy styles
- Third prize in the International Burda Competition in the UAE, 2018
- Reward in IRCICA World Competition, 2018
- First prize globally in the Future Masters Competition in Turkey, 2016
- Third prize globally in the Souk Okaz competition in Saudi Arabia, 2015
Ahmed Adel – Dibba Branch
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work in 2002
- Diploma in Arabic calligraphy in 2003
- License in the art of Arabic calligraphy from the head of the Egyptian Calligraphers Syndicate, Mr. Musaad Khudair Al-Borsaidi.
- Worked on the Writing of the Holy Mosque of Mecca project with Master calligrapher, Sherine Abdel Halim in 2017.
- Participated in writing the historic document between Al-Azhar and the Vatican for the Human Fraternity Agreement in 2019
