Prou Calligraphy and Ornamentation School in Fujairah Announcing the launch of its new art exhibition titled “Inspired by manuscripts”under the esteemed patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah. The opening ceremony was held in 10 September 2023, in the presence of His Highness, celebrating the inspiring intersection between ancient artistic traditions and contemporary trends. The exhibition featured five main sections: Calligraphy, manuscripts, miniatures, illumination, and geometry. Each section displays a distinct collection of works created by artists from both within the country and abroad, reflecting the richness and diversity of Islamic art. Manuscripts Among the most prominent sections of the exhibition is a rare collection of manuscripts generously loaned by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince specifically for this event, alongside valuable manuscripts from Al-Majeed Cultural and Heritage Centreproviding visitors with a unique glimpse into the high craftsmanship and cultural significance of this art form.

The exhibition also includes the activity “My name is“where the visitor writes their name to be automatically converted by artificial intelligence into an elegant Thuluth Arabic calligraphy design, receiving a personalised memento that combines traditional art with smart technologies.
