A Glimpse of Art Week 2025 – An Exceptional Success
Last year's Art Week at the School of Calligraphy and Ornament was a remarkable success by all accounts. The events took place between 17–23 October 2025 and were held on the sidelines of no fewer than:
The distinctive art exhibition «Extension»
The 2nd Annual Conference on Calligraphy and Ornamentation 2025
This week, the academy organised 60 free art workshops dedicated to manuscript arts, spanning several days, with the participation of over 300 individuals from the local community and various countries worldwide. These workshops allowed participants to choose diverse artistic paths and delve into Arabic calligraphy, decorative design, gilding, and nature drawing, under the supervision of an elite group of international experts and artists who attended especially for this occasion.
The week also saw a distinguished cultural collaboration with Darat Al Shua'ar, alongside a partnership with Fujairah Adventures, which offered participants special experiences to explore Fujairah's nature and its geographical and environmental details. This extended the artistic experience beyond the workshop spaces and fostered a lively connection between art and place. In addition, a special musical evening organised by the Fujairah Philharmonic Orchestra added a complete cultural and aesthetic dimension to the week's programme.
The Art Week was a rich creative experience that brought together art, knowledge, and place, and cemented the position of the Calligraphy and Ornamentation School as an open platform for celebrating manuscript arts and cultural exchange.
