The School of Calligraphy and Ornamentation is committed to supporting the authorship and publishing movement in the fields of Arabic calligraphy, ornamentation, and manuscript arts. This commitment stems from the belief that preserving these arts is not achieved through practice alone, but also requires documenting knowledge and producing sound academic and educational references. The School strives to enrich the Arabic and global library with specialised publications that combine authenticity with academic methodology, serving artists, students, researchers, and cultural institutions, while also encouraging authors, calligraphers, and researchers to publish their works and highlight their scientific and artistic output.

The school also publishes Mishkat magazine, It is an annual academic journal dedicated to publishing the proceedings of the Fujairah International Conference on Calligraphy and Ornamentation, alongside specialised research, studies, and articles on Arabic calligraphy, ornamentation, and manuscript arts. The journal serves as a scientific platform for documenting knowledge, promoting academic research, and enriching the scientific output in the field of traditional Islamic arts.
