Basics of Diwani Script

There was a huge turnout for the Diwani calligraphy course, which shed new light on the importance of this ancient art. Following its initial launch, the programme received a widespread response from students and those interested in Arabic calligraphy, due to the distinguished content and practical training style it offered, which enhanced participants' skills in writing Diwani calligraphy with precision and beauty.

Building on this success, the School of Calligraphy and Ornament is pleased to announce the re-launch of the Diwani Calligraphy course under the supervision of calligrapher Sarah Abedi, who boasts extensive experience in teaching this script and conveying it in a style that combines authenticity with modern technique. The course offers participants a unique opportunity to familiarise themselves with the fundamental rules of Diwani calligraphy and progress through practical exercises that will help them develop their own style and refine their talent.

And to keep up with the needs of interested parties within and outside the country, the school provides the option of online participation, so that everyone can join this distinguished educational experience wherever they are.
