In a calm atmosphere brimming with inspiration, the Calligraphy and Decoration School in Fujairah presents the “Painting Natural Details in Watercolour” course, supervised by Irish artist Siobhán Doherty, a specialist in botanical and nature art and head of the Association of Botanical Artists. The course runs from September to December, taking participants on an artistic journey that combines meditation and precision, rediscovering the inherent beauty in the details of Emirati nature, including its flora and wildlife.
Chiffon's teaching style is based on meticulous observation and realistic drawing, offering a friendly and relaxed learning experience focused on developing the trainee's artistic eye and enhancing their ability to concentrate on the finest details. During the workshop, participants learn how to use art tools professionally, draw from direct observation, study shadows and perspective, alongside watercolour techniques such as “wet-on-wet”, “wet-on-dry”, and glazing, culminating in the creation of a finished painting that reflects their growing artistic sensibility.

What sets this experience apart is the creative atmosphere filled with personal support and artistic interaction, where Chiffon offers direct guidance and precise feedback to each trainee, making learning an individual and personal experience. The course is suitable for beginners and those wishing to hone their skills, as it combines academic fundamentals with creative freedom.
