Thuluth Creativity’ Course – A Professional Journey in the Arts of Thuluth Calligraphy – Full Academic Year

Programme overview

This course offers in-depth training in Thuluth script,one of the most refined and beautiful styles of Arabic calligraphy, highly esteemed throughout history. Participants will be introduced to the essential tools and materials, study the precise proportions and forms of individual letters, and learn the art of connecting letters with harmony and fluidity. The course also covers the fundamentals of balanced artistic composition and provides a historical overview of the different schools of Thuluth script and their most renowned masters.

Expected Outcomes:

• Participants will acquire a solid foundation in using traditional calligraphy tools and materials.
• Participants will be able to write each Thuluth letter with precision and elegance.
• Participants will develop skills in composing words and phrases with aesthetic beauty and visual consistency.
• Participants will learn the principles of layout and structure in artistic calligraphic works.
• Participants will gain knowledge of the history of Thuluth script and its different styles

• Teach how to form and connect Thuluth letters accurately according to classical rules.
• Guide participants in creating balanced and visually appealing calligraphic works.

Course Schedule:

Sunday from 21 September10:30 AM – 12:00 PM
Tuesday from 16 September5:30 PM – 7:00 PM

• Number of study days: 22 days
• Total learning hours: 46 hours
• £20 per hour
• Frequency: The course is held once a week for each group

Course Duration and Holidays:
For courses lasting more than five months, rest weeks are included to ensure continuity and reflection.

First Semester ::

When Classes Take Place (students must attend at least 10% of course hours)

Break Periods: 17–22 November 2025 and 18–24 January 2026

Educational Trip:
Our annual courses offer Educational Trip to Uzbekistanoffering an in-depth cultural and educational experience as part of the curriculum.
To be eligible to participate in the trip, the participant must:

• Presence The first term and the second term in full Regularly.
• Maintain an attendance rate of no less than 90%. % of programme hours.
• Commitment and perseverance in producing satisfactory artworks throughout the program.
• Recommendation from instructors based on the quality and consistency of the student’s work.

Certificate:

Is granted Certificate of Continuing Professional Development CPD Available exclusively to participants who successfully complete the long annual programs.
The requirement for obtaining the certificate is attendance of no less than 90% of the course hours.

Supervising Calligrapher: Mohsen Nassar

A professional calligrapher and expert in Arabic scripts with over 25 years of experience in the field of arts. He has received numerous international awards across different styles of Arabic calligraphy and is recognized for his precision and dedication to classical composition details.
