Raq'ah script – Short course – September to December 2026

Course Description

A practical course to learn the basics of the straight line, one of the most commonly used Arabic lines in everyday writing.
The participants practice the pen position, writing angle, and forms of individual and connected letters, as well as building short words and sentences.
With fixing common errors.

Course Language: Arabic.
Course duration: 16 hours of training.
Duration: 8 sessions, with two hours each session.

Attendance options

Option one: Sunday

The appointment Sunday, 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM.

Attendance dates:
October 2026: 4, 11, 18, 25;
November 2026: 1, 8, 15, 22.

Second option: Thursday

The appointment Thursday, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Attendance dates:
October 2026: 1, 8, 15, 22, 29;
November 2026: 5, 12, 19.

The student chooses only one attendance option, and registration does not include attending the other appointment.

Objectives and Outcomes

• Writing the basic letters in the script correctly.
• Connecting the letters and forming clear and balanced words.
• Adjusting tilt, distances, and communications.
• Writing a short text or a training board in block letters.

About the teacher

Mohsen Nassar is a calligrapher and teacher specializing in the Arabic script, and his teaching follows the traditional method based on practical demonstration, repetition, and individual correction.

Location:
In person in Fujairah – the School of Calligraphy and Ornamentation.

Certificate
A minimum of 90% of training hours must be attended.
