Writing the Holy Quran in Naskh script - A yearly programme

Course Description

An advanced programme spanning a full academic year, qualifying students to write a complete Quranic text in Naskh script. It is designed for students who have completed at least a full year of studying Naskh script and are ready to transition to writing extended Quranic texts according to traditional rules.

The programme focuses on mastering letter forms, their connections and proportions, applying the point-based measurement system, adjusting vowels and diacritics, arranging margins, spacing and line endings, and layout design of the Mushaf page in accordance with the principles of classical Arabic calligraphy.

The student progresses from advanced exercises and the Alif verse to writing short surahs, and then completes a comprehensive Quranic composition on prepared paper. Individual correction, following the master-and-disciple method, forms an essential cornerstone of the programme, with each student receiving direct feedback to help them develop precision and mastery at every stage.
