In an atmosphere filled with beauty and calm, the School of Calligraphy and Ornamentation organised a workshop titled “Painting Inspired by Nature” at a rose farm in Ras Al Khaimah, where participants experienced a creative journey that blended art with the charm of nature.
Participants drew inspiration from the surrounding environment, moving between colour, light, and natural landscapes in an open space that allowed them to express themselves freely and harmoniously. The workshop relied on direct observation as the starting point for artistic work, helping participants develop their ability to interpret natural scenes and transform them into balanced compositions using watercolour techniques.
The outdoor setting provided participants with the opportunity to pause and reflect before beginning to paint, which was clearly reflected in the finished works. The artworks demonstrated careful attention to colour details and the relationships between light and shadow. The workshop created a non-traditional learning space that combined education and hands-on experience away from enclosed classrooms.
The event witnessed strong participation and thoughtful engagement, reflecting the participants’ passion for art and painting, and highlighting the importance of artistic initiatives that connect creativity with nature. This workshop forms part of a broader series of artistic activities organised by the school to provide inspiring educational experiences and encourage artistic engagement in diverse environments that open new horizons for expression and creativity.
