Botanical ornamentation – styles and techniques

  • The “Botanical Ornamentation – Styles and Techniques” course aims to provide a comprehensive educational experience that combines artistic analysis with practical application of botanical ornamentation inspired by ancient Islamic manuscripts. The course begins with an introduction to the fundamental elements of botanical ornamentation, understanding its characteristics and construction style, then moves on to studying and analysing original manuscript examples to learn the methods of composition, balance, repetition, and rhythm.
