Roman Decoration – Al-Rashidiya Library

In collaboration with the Dubai Arts and Culture Authority, the calligraphy and ornamentation school in Fujairah is offering an art workshop Islamic ornamentationWith the supervision of the artist and researcher Namareq Ali At the Al-Rashidiya Library, the workshop explores traditional botanical and decorative elements, principles of repetition, symmetry, and balance, and combines the recognition of Islamic artistic heritage with the practical application of simple decorative design.

The workshop is suitable for beginners and those interested in Islamic arts who wish to develop their drawing and decorative composition skills.

Learning Objectives:

• Acquaintance with the principles and aesthetic characteristics of Islamic ornamentation.
• Exploring the botanical and decorative elements in the Islamic heritage.

The course offers

Namareq Ali An artist and researcher specializing in traditional Islamic arts, especially the art of gilding and the decoration of manuscripts. She continues her studies to obtain a doctorate in traditional arts and bookbinding, and combines historical knowledge and practical application in her teaching style.
