The Names of Allah in the Geometric Kufic Script – Short Course – September to December 2026 – One-to-One or Group

Course Description

A practical course that introduces participants to geometric Kufic script through the design of a selected collection of the Most Beautiful Names of Allah within clear and balanced compositions.
Participants learn how to construct letters and words on a geometric grid, adjust the relationship between the line and the space, and distribute masses within the composition.
The course does not require any prior experience.

Period October–December 2026.
Course Language: English, with Arabic support when needed.

Sunday: 3:30 – 5:30 PM

Fees

Price for all dates: 320 UAE dirhams.
Price for one portion: 40 dirhams

Objectives and Outcomes

• Understanding the basics of geometric Kufic calligraphy and the grid system.
• Building names and words with control over font and spacing.
• Design a clear and balanced geometric composition.
• Producing a final piece of work inspired by the Beautiful Names of Allah.

About the Teacher

Elif Hala Gökçen is a calligrapher and teacher from Turkey living in Fujairah, with over ten years of experience in classical Arabic scripts.
In its teaching, it relies on graded explanation and individual correction.
