The Calligraphy and Ornamentation School in Fujairah celebrated the National Day of the United Arab Emirates in a distinguished event that brought together the spirit of pride and joy, and witnessed a wide attendance from families, staff, and their children who shared the school's celebration of this dear national occasion. The celebration was held at Al Taif Mall, where the venue was filled with an atmosphere reflecting the depth of belonging to the homeland and the values of union upon which the state was founded.
The event began with guests being welcomed to the sounds of the Ayala band, followed by the Fujairah Police Music Band performing the national anthem to a standing ovation, in honour and respect of the UAE flag and its rich history. Afterwards, visitors dispersed among a range of heritage tents that offered authentic Emirati experiences, including Arabic coffee, traditional cooking, henna, falcons, and heritage games, in addition to the calligraphy and ornamentation tent, which received significant engagement from the public.

The audience interacted with the evening performance by the Fujairah Police Band before the start of the Emirati poetry evening, which added a cultural dimension and special beauty to the celebration. Poets Fahd Ali Al-Maamari and Abdullah Khalfan Al-Hamour participated in the evening, and poet Shaikha Abdullah Al-Mutairi presented it. The poems carried sincere national sentiments that expressed love for the homeland and the pride of its sons in its journey and renaissance.
At the end of the event, the Ayalah band presented a traditional performance that added more joy and pride to the atmosphere, leaving the attendees with their hearts full of beautiful memories of a day that brought together art and heritage, and people and homeland.
The School of Calligraphy and Ornamentation extends its highest thanks and appreciation to the wise leadership of the UAE and to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, for their patronage and interest in cultural and creative events in the Emirate.
The school also expresses its gratitude to Dr. Israa Al-Haml for her great efforts in organising and overseeing this celebration, and for her role in highlighting the spirit of unity through activities that strengthen the community's connection to its heritage and identity.
The school concludes by thanking all staff for their participation and efforts in organising the celebration, and we also extend our thanks to the families who participated in this special National Day. We promise to continue providing events that promote Emirati identity and celebrate the authentic arts and heritage of the Emirates.
