Islamic Geometry

This workshop focuses on the distinctive hexagonal patterns that emerged in Mughal and Persian arts. Participants will discover how these motifs are derived by dividing a circle into six equal parts, then constructing geometric grids to draw precise decorative units. The workshop aims to introduce participants to hexagonal patterns in Islamic art, develop additional skills in using compasses and rulers, and enhance precision in geometric compositions. By the end, participants will be able to produce a complete hexagonal design, gain a deeper understanding of the diversity of Islamic patterns, and build greater confidence in applying traditional geometric techniques.
