It focuses on the aesthetic and functional aspects of Islamic manuscript construction. Participants will learn how to reconstruct traditional models and study letters within geometric and decorative frameworks, while viewing practical models that illustrate the balance and distribution of page elements. Participants are expected to gain a deeper understanding of the concept of manuscript architecture and learn how to employ aesthetic and geometric proportions. They will also receive practical examples that will enrich their theoretical and practical experience.

About the Professor
Dr. Hanaa Hegazy is a professor in the College of Islamic Arts and Architecture at the University of Islamic Sciences, specializing in Islamic arts, architecture, and decoration. She holds a PhD in Traditional Arts and received a prestigious award in 2008 in recognition of her creativity. She has given numerous lectures and workshops at universities and cultural centers. Her work focuses on combining the academic and practical aspects and re-presenting the spirit of heritage with a contemporary vision.
