Let’s Paint Bait Al Fann
The School of Calligraphy and Ornamentation organised an art workshop titled “Let’s Paint Bait Al Fann” in collaboration with Bait Al Fann. The experience combined watercolour painting with an exploration of the site’s architectural and cultural character. This initiative aimed to strengthen cultural collaboration between artistic institutions while creating an inspiring space for participants to express their visual interpretations through direct observation.
بدأت الورشة بجولة تأملية في أرجاء بيت الفن، حيث تعرّف المشاركون على تفاصيل المكان من أقواس وأبواب وعناصر معمارية تقليدية، قبل الانتقال إلى مرحلة الرسم. ركزت الفنانة شيفون خلال الجلسة على تقنيات التعامل مع الألوان المائية، خصوصًا ما يتعلق بالشفافية، وبناء الطبقات اللونية، وكيفية ترجمة الضوء والظل إلى تكوين بصري متوازن
The resulting artworks reflected a range of artistic approaches, from precise and detailed interpretations to more expressive styles. This diversity highlighted how a single place can be visually interpreted in multiple ways. The workshop provided a thoughtful space for experimentation and learning, strengthening the connection between art and its surrounding environment in a natural and authentic manner.
