Presented by the artist Karima Mohamed Montaser

As part of the summer camp activities, artist Karima Mohamed Montaser led an interactive workshop titled “The Magical World of Paper – Origami Workshop”, offering a creative journey into the art of paper folding and its transformation into imaginative 3D models. The workshop was more than just an artistic experience—it was an open space for creativity, where children discovered how a single idea and a piece of paper could become a bird, a flower, or even a star.

Karima, founder of AYDA Gallery for Handicrafts, studied geophysical sciences, yet her passion for art has accompanied her since childhood. Her experience spans various arts and crafts until she discovered origami as an engaging educational tool that stimulates visual thinking and imagination, while helping children develop fine motor skills. With her calm approach and natural rapport with children, she created an environment that encouraged focus, patience, and attention to detail, all while supporting teamwork and boosting self-confidence.

The workshop was more than just a fun activity—it was an opportunity to strengthen essential life skills such as patience, teamwork, and the understanding that art can be a powerful tool for learning and self-expression. In the end, initiatives like this leave a lasting positive impact, as children remember not only what they created with their own hands but also the meaningful lessons they gained through this creative experience.
