Led by artist Mohammed Alwadee
In a peaceful corner within the creative spaces of the SOCO Summer Camp, children gathered for a unique artistic journey into the world of colours.
Using plant leaves, minerals, herbs, and even gum arabic, the children learned how ancient artists once created their own pigments for Islamic manuscripts. The workshop felt like a living natural laboratory, where the experience transformed into a true discovery of nature’s wisdom and the magic of art.

لم يكن الهدف فقط صناعة الألوان، بل إحياء علاقة أصيلة بين الطفل والبيئة من حوله، وتعزيز قدرته على الابتكار والإبداع
Amid drops of pigment and the texture of paper, each child discovered a little artist within—painting with colours they had created themselves and realising, perhaps for the first time, that art doesn’t begin with a brush, but with the imagination.
Mohammed Alwadee, whose journey of expertise took him from Riyadh to Istanbul, arrived in Fujairah to transform this workshop into a space where knowledge and hands-on experience met, and heritage blended seamlessly with childhood creativity. For the children, it became a pure and unforgettable moment of discovery—one that will remain in their memories for years to come.
