Thulth Andalusi Script Foundation – Jan – Feb

This workshop is a great introduction to the Thulth Andalusi Script and you can start learning it with one of our resident calligraphers. Each week, you can practice writing a new word or short sentences until you are proficient enough to produce a complete piece.

Course Goals:

• learn the tools of Arabic calligraphy, such as pens and inks,
• Preparing the inkwell
• Sitting correctly for writing
• Holding and controlling the calligraphy pen
• Producing a small piece with Thulth Andalusi calligraphy

Learning Objectives: 

1. Learn single letters
2. Learn letter connections
3. Learn to write short sentences
4. Learn to write artistic paintings
5. Learn how to prepare a painting template
6. Learn how to frill and use distressed paper

Course Outcome: Producing a series of simple written works.

Age: Adults (16+)

Workshop Dates and Times: 

• Tuesdays, o5:30pm – o7:00pm
• 10.5 hours of learning, 210 AED
  • Jan – Feb: 7, 14, 21, 28 Jan + 4, 11, 18 Feb

Alhambra Palace Trip:

Students who attend term 1 and term 2 will join us for a students trip to Spain to see all of these beautiful patterns in-person

Certificate: 

Please note that you have to attend 90% of term 1 (Sep-Dec) and term2 (Jan-Feb)to be able to receive your CPD certificate.

This will be taught by our resident calligraphers.
