Indian Miniature Foundation: 22 Sep – 12 Dec

Indian miniature developed in the style that we know now between the 16th to 17th century during the Mughal period. Miniatures usually depict a story in full details and a very fine brush strokes with natural pigments and touches of genuine gold.

This is a great foundation course that will teach you the best practices in the art of Indian miniature and it is applicable to other types of miniature as well.

You will learn:

  • Preparing your paint following the traditional method and using the genuine stone and earth colours.
  • Preparing your paper and get it to the needed smoothness for paint
  • Holding and using traditional handmade brushes
  • Drawing elements used in Indian miniature
  • Painting with watercolour and gouache following the Indian miniature ways

Age: 16+

    • Option 1 – 42 Hours of learning – Mondays & Wednesdays, twice a week, two hours each week,  5.00pm-7pm
