(TezhipI) Turkish Ilumanation Art – (Apr – Jun)

About Turkish Ilumanation Art (TezhipI): This course introduces students to the fundamental principles, techniques, and applications of traditional Turkish decorative arts. Students will explore various motifs, patterns, and coloring styles, focusing on Hatâyî group motifs, halkâr coloring, zencerek designs, and thread-based pattern creation. By the end of the semester, students will develop a foundational understanding of design principles and enhance their practical skills in
creating traditional Turkish art patterns.

In this course, you will learn:

  • Students will gain an appreciation of Turkish Ilumanation art, master foundational design techniques, and confidently create and color traditional patterns.

Age: 16+

Workshop Dates and Times:

  • Sundays: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM – Once a week
  • 40 hours of learning, 800 AED
    • April 13, 20, 27; May 4, 11, 18, 25; June 1, 15, 22
  • Tuesdays & Thursdays: 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM – Twice a week
  • 40 hours of learning, 800 AED
    • April 15, 17, 22, 24, 29; May 1, 6, 8,13, 15, 20, 22, 27, 29; June 3, 12, 17, 19 24 ,26
