Open Call

We invite creative content creators from around the world to enrich the content related to the School of Gilding & ornamentation in English & in Arabic. 

Subjects for contribution: 

• Gilding
• Illumination
• Ornamentation including botanical and geometric patterns
• Miniature 
• Bookmaking crafts

   

Examples of possible content:

• Well researched art history articles
• Summary of creative books or articles
• How-to art lessons with images 
• Video content on any of the above as well

   

To participate

• Fill in the form below with a 200 word summary of your idea. Please do not write the article until we contact you with an agreement contract and an approval.
• The form below is the only way to participate and DMs and emails will not count
• Pitches are accepted in both English and Arabic.
  
  

Requirements: 

• The article you pitch has to be personally written by you & you own the copy right to information and imagery – plagiarism won’t be tolerated and it will lead to a default decline.
• Written in an artistic & engaging way with at least 1200 words and no more than 2000 words.
• You will need to provide the full article within two weeks if approved.

Fees 

This is a paid opportunity as we value the time and the effort of artists. The fee will be confirmed once we accept your pitch. Fees will vary between 200-600 AED depending on the type of the content you will provide. Payments will be made 30 days after receiving the final copy.
