This course offers an immersive exploration into the visual language and symbolic meanings of angelic figures in miniature painting. Guided by Professor Filiz Ad\u0131g\u00fczel,<\/strong> Participants will navigate both the technical and creative processes of depicting celestial beings within the traditions of miniature art, whose mastery of classical techniques is enriched by a distinctive contemporary touch.<\/p>\n

Angels have long held a revered place in Islamic art\u2014particularly in illuminated manuscripts\u2014where they often symbolize purity, protection, and divine presence. Participants will investigate the cultural, spiritual, and aesthetic dimensions of angelic imagery, with a focus on balanced stylistic composition and harmonious integration within the visual scene.<\/p>\n

Throughout the course, students will master techniques for rendering symmetrical wings with fine detail, intricate drapery folds, and ethereal gestures, employing methods such as \u0627\u0644\u062a\u062d\u0631\u064a\u0631<\/strong> tahrir (fine outlining) layered application of vibrant colours,<\/strong>andand tonal blending<\/strong>The use of gold,<\/strong>pastel accents, and rhythmic brushstrokes will also be encouraged to enhance the radiance and the spiritual aura of each figure.<\/p>\n
