Role Description:
We are looking for an experienced Event coordinator to organise excellent events. You will be responsible for every aspect of an event, from choosing venues to evaluating success afterwards. An event coordinator must be well-organised and competent in vendor management. Communication skills and attention to detail will set apart the best among the candidates. The goal is to organise unforgettable creative events that will ensure the entertainment of participants and facilitate the completion of business objectives.
Working Hours
Sunday-Thursday: 10am to 6pm in-person in Fujairah
Salary and Benefits
- Up to 12k AED per month
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in event/hospitality management, public relations or a relevant field.
- English and Arabic fluency.
- 3+ years of event coordination and management
- Advanced knowledge of PowerPoint, Acrobat, and Excel
Requirements:
- Experience in event planning or event coordination in a corporate environment
- Experience in curating art events and exhibitions
- Network of artists and creatives
- Proven track record of creative, successful events
- Experience working with colleagues in graphic design, sales, marketing, and communications
- Excellent organisational, communication, negotiating, and multitasking skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain a customer-service mindset
Role Responsibilities:
- Coming up with original concepts and planning every detail of an event
- Constantly updating clients and informing them of issues or changes
- Approaching relevant suppliers and contractors to negotiate attractive pricing for their clients
- Ensuring that corporate events are in line with a company’s brand identity and strategy
- Being present on the day of an event to ensure that things run smoothly
- Putting backup plans in place if something goes wrong on the day
- Ensuring that all parties adhere to the relevant health, safety and insurance regulations
- Overseeing post-event activities, such as the cleaning of venues and the payment of suppliers and contractors
- Working with the marketing and public relations departments to prepare budgets, setting deadlines, creating concepts and identifying the objectives of the event
- Implementing budget, invoicing and logistics
- Selecting and negotiating with vendors and monitoring their activities to ensure quality control
- Managing the promotions, communications and branding aspects of the event
- Supervising Caterers, Junior Event Coordinators and security teams
- Resolving problems and guest inquiries before and during the event
- Approving all activities for the event
- Preparing reports and making a presentation to management after the event
