• Day 1: This session will cover an in-depth, hands-on introduction to the steps involved in creating your sheet of handmade paper from recycled materials: from pulping, colouring, sheet forming, couching, and pressing.
• Day 2: In this session we will explore how to create custom shaped handmade paper by creating a bespoke deckle. Participants will be able to create a sheet in any shape they wish including, but not limited to: circles, ovals, hearts, sheets with wavy/scalloped edges – the possibilities are endless!
• Day 3: We will explore how we can paint using pulp onto already formed sheets to create beautiful patterns including: ombre paper, striped paper, gingham paper, checkered paper and abstract pulp paintings. Participants will be free to explore whatever pattern they wish with expert guidance.
• Day 4: We will explore how we can create a hidden watermark embedded into a sheet of handmade paper.

• Through practical paper-making, participants will understand how to process recycled pulp, form, colour and couch a sheet and by the end of the session will have created a unique, stack of colourful A5 sheets to be dried.
• Learn how to create and waterproof a custom deckle to create uniquely shaped handmade paper.
• Create a series of unique pulp paintings.
• Create a custom watermark in a sheet of handmade paper.
